Now that I am the big 29 there are some changes going on around here. First off, the sun is finally shining in Berlin and it is not supposed to stop anytime soon. See that ray of light seeping through my window? See? Summer has finally begun. I mean, this weekend has actually been HOT - no measly 60 degrees for a day - actual heat. Today I wore a bathing suit for the first time, laid out, went swimming and maybe even got a tiny bit of color on my pale pale skin. Now this is a change I can get used to.
Even though I swore them off a couple years ago, I may in fact be starting to post a few of my outfits on the blog (in my own way). Now that I am fully immersing myself in the world of fashion with work and all (not just scouring every thrift store I can find) I feel a post here and there could be beneficial for myself and others. Plus I am digging some of my new finds these days and since I am over here in Berlin it would be nice to share them with some people other than my boyfriend. See my new thrifted (still scouring every thrift store I can find) silk shirt and these...new shoes! It is so nice to have a boyfriend who occasionally reads your blog and then magically gets you exactly what you want for your birthday. These bad boys from Zara are my latest obsession, well my latest obtained obsession. I have been talking about the Chloé pair for ages. Hopefully this new change won't be too hard for my feet, there is a lot of potential for blisters with all that is going on with these buckles.
And if you haven't already notice I have fallen off the wagon and am back on the bang. For a while now I have been embracing the hippie in me with grown out fringe and a middle part, or maybe I was feeling it was time for me to quit with the trendy haircuts. But no, I am not that old! Or maybe I have been too scared of German hairdressers. But I got over my fear, and got a few cut to the side. Next time I am going all the way across. And lastly there are a few simple life changes/resolutions I have decided to make this year and maybe if I put them in print I will actually follow through. First off, I have decided to stop putting sugar or sweetener in my coffee. A simple thing I know, although not as easy as it may seem. But I think I am at the age where I can live without it; and I believe I am also at the age where I can get out of bed before 10 o'clock. Ridiculous that I don't, I know, but I love to sleep! Granted I did it for years in NYC when I had a real job, and granted no one in Berlin gets up before God knows when, and granted I work from home so I can just roll out of bed at 10 and start working. But still, maybe it is time in my life to wake up before the clock hits double digits. Eeeek, so many sugarless early mornings ahead. Wish me luck!
P.S: I really want to change this blog to 3 columns but I am having trouble locating everything from this tutorial in my layout html. Ugh, I am supposed to be a web person. Help!

i hear you on being scared on German hairdressers! I think I might have finally found a winner who won't make me leave with a mullet or looking like a carpool mom. but it took me a year and a half to find her. I struggled changing to 3 collumn, but I think in the new blogger draft you can do it without such a headache. I cannot for the life of me remember what site helped me.... try googling it. and good luck!
glad I found your blog, lots of fun things here :)
