Fall Wish List #2 Chunky Knits: CHECK!

Okay I may have overdone it a little with this one, and am currently banned from buying any product that resembles a blanket, has a turtleneck, is a shade of cream or is really really cozy. But with a weather report that calls for the first snow on Oct 21 (that is tomorrow, can you believe it? Are you kidding me?), I think I can't go wrong with having too many chunky knits, now can I? And the half-sleeve tan and maroon and more tan, beige, camel long sweater thing might just be the favorite item of clothing I own right now. I will have to take some pictures of me actually wearing it do it proper justice. Plus they were all thrift, so it is okay to be excessive right? It is the nature of the beast. How are you doing on cozy clothes for winter/now?

Fall Wish List #3 Brown Oxfords: CHECK!

Ask and you shall receive — or scour every thrift store in Berlin over and over again until a miracle occurs. So there I was at the Humana by my house in Freidrichshain even though I had already been there once that week and there were only 20 minutes until closing time. But something was pulling me in, ahem, shopping addiction. So there I was scanning all the crappy shoes that looked exactly the same as they did two days ago and then out of nowhere like a beacon of light from heaven coming toward me was an angel/employee carrying the perfect pair of little brown man shoes and setting them right in front of me, yes, me. I held my breath as I slipped my feet into them, and wait for it, they fit! So there I was 16 euros poorer, but finally numero three on my fall wish list officially crossed off! Granted after wearing them all day at the zoo, my poor little feet were crying like babies, but it was a breaking-in ritual that a true shoe lover can endure.

Fall Wish List #4 Camel Coat

I know, I know, how trendy can I get? But I want one and have been searching for awhile now. Sadly I used to have one, but it was lost in the great pre-Berlin clothing purge. Even so, it wouldn´t be warm enough for the German winter on the horizon.
I have such a hard time when it comes to coats, I have never owned the perfect one for winter. I always end up buying a bunch of cheap used ones that are not quite right and end up hating them by the time the winter is over (maybe for other reasons?). Finding the right style and the fit is harder for me then finding a pair of well-fitting jeans. So this year, I am on a mission to find the perfect coat and I am not giving in before I do. I have already turned down a few I might have bought before, because they were not absolutely perfect. I am liking this cape coat found worn by German blogger Golestanah — it is from Zara so it`s doable but it also might not be warm enough and I always prefer to buy vintage if possible. Have you found the perfect coat?

Fall Wish List #3 Brown Oxfords

I know I have already told you about my need for a pair of brown oxfords, but I have quite possibly scoured every thrift/vintage/second hand in Berlin and still nothing! It really looks I might have to fork out the cash to get a new pair (possibly from Zara?) because the desire to dress my feet like a little man is just not going away, and just a black pair is not cutting it. I mean, if these girls can have them, why can't I?

Fall Wish List #2 Chunky Knits

I have talked about chunky knits before and admittedly already have a few of them, but a girl can´t have too many things to keep her warm can now she? This fall I want tons whether oversized muted-pallet scarves or aztec knit sweaters like these worn by this lovely model shot by, yes, Vanessa Jackman.

Fall Wish List #1 Brown Leather Jacket

Fall weather has definitely begun in Berlin (boo hoo!). But as it makes me so terrified for my first complete Brrrrrrlin winter (I came here in the end of Feb last year), at the very least it gets me excited for fall clothes. There are so many I want I think I will start compiling a list here, and hopefully checking them off here as well. First, a brown leather motorcycle jacket like the one Vanessa Jackman shot this lovely model wearing. Not an easy thing to find vintage, but I am going to try, as I certainly cannot afford a new one.
