Chanel Circa 1991

The 90s look has been back for awhile — my closet is full of velvet, baby doll dresses, combat boots and floral prints all over again — but maybe not in full effect. When looking at the Fall 1991 Chanel ads featuring Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington (my two favorite 90s party girl models) the top look makes me laugh. I mean the soccer ball, that denim color and the hot pink all over — so bad it's good.

While the one below works perfectly for today, I am loving the double strap shoes and the empire waists. I guess it goes to show you the power of the LBD. And isn't it crazy that Karl Lagerfeld has been designing for Chanel since 1983? How many times do you think he sees certain trends disappear and reappear again?
