A wee bit after the fact, but here are my picks from Milan. Usually I am not so into the designers that show in Italy — modern, logo centric, old-money, white sunglasses, tanned skinned, business suit kind of looks that are just so not me. But this season I did come across a bunch of pieces that I certainly wouldn´t mind getting my hands on or at least their thrift store look-alikes. It seems I am either loving something really feminine (hello floor-sweeping florals) or completely masculine (ahem pleated slacks and blazers). Oh and of course I will forever and always love a jumpsuit and I can´t get enough beige, camel, tan, whatever-you-call-it. What are you loving so far this fashion season?
Last season I posted this Jak & Jil shot from the runway. Looks like Mr. Dolce and Mr. Gabbana are sticking with the leggy look, but with an angelic twist for spring.
Maybe I am biased, but I always find London Fashion Week a little (a lot) bit blaah compared to New York. But even though I wasn't able to like enough to do a Top Ten, I did manage to find a few lust-worthy lines to well, lust after. I actually wore an outfit similar to that orange Paul Smith shirt dress recently (note: must take more outfit pics) and I have always loved pattern against pattern, especially florals.
Also, now that we are in the thick of Milan, I am sure all you fashion bloggers are counting down the minutes to Miu Miu just like I am. I mean last S/S was everyone's favorite. Oh yeah, here's London...
