Tea/Bath Time

So far in 2011 I have spent a lot of time of time in the UK, whether London, Leeds, Glasgow or this past weekend in Edinburgh (such a beautiful city, I will have a roundup at some point, but I forgot my usb in Berlin). And although I am sure I will always remain a cup of coffee and a shower to wake me up American girl, I have definitely been getting into the British way of life and enjoying a nice hot bath and tea time. 

I mean, back in the States I would occasionally indulge in a bath if I was living in a house with a clean enough tub and drink tea when I was sick or feeling very mellow. But since I have been here it has been an everyday occurrence, and I feel oh so much more refined for it, although maybe just a little bit dirtier. 

I am sipping on my afternoon cup as I write this now and have even been occasionally forgoing my morning coffee for some Earl Grey. What am I becoming? My brother has been living in the UK for over 10 years now and I love how he describes the different stages of his relationship with tea from newbie novice to full-blown addict. Certainly not such a bad vice. Are you a tea or coffee person? Baths or showers?

    ooooh this post made me laugh, chuckle, look around to realize my co-workers probably think im crazy for laughing at my computer.

    The part, "if I was living in a house with a clean enough tub" almost made me spit out my own cup of earl grey. It humbly reminded me of the many apartments I've lived in in my nomadic life.

    Once I get into a place with a nice tub I will for sure make it a daily ritual for tea and tub time!!

    This is such a cute post! I'm a shower person, I told my husband the day we get a claw-foot tub I will become a bath person. Something about those make baths seem luxurious. Also, such a coffee person..my day can't start without it: )

    i have to have my coffee in the morning, but i drink green tea at night. i do enjoy baths, but i'm mainly a shower person. if we had a luxurious bathroom and tub, maybe more baths! "what am i becomming?" lol.

    I´ve never sipped in a shower before.

    I´m a Fashion Designer, I have a blog called The Lovely San, where the main character SAN wears the most showstopper items from this and past seasons; I´d be really glad if you step by, take a few minutes and get into Sanabra´s world.

    As an American in London, I completely understand. I think I'll always be a shower girl, but I've slowly given up coffee in favour of tea. I never thought it would happen. Maybe it's time to find a tub as well... :)

    I guess I'm a shower-and-coffee-person in the morning and a bath-and-tea-person in the evening...
